Welcome Back!

Hi friends – I’m back!

After a little break from posting, I’m so excited to be back here with a fresh start, a new home, and a whole lot of content coming your way. If you’re new here: hi! I’m Taylor, an interior designer, DIY-er, and someone who deeply believes that your home should be beautiful and livable, no matter your budget.

These past few months have been a whirlwind (we got engaged, moved, and started setting up our new home!) and I’ve been soaking it all in. But now, with a fresh space and even more life milestones unfolding, I’m finally ready to bring you along for the ride. I’m so excited to get back to regular blogging, sharing tips, ideas, and honest updates with you.

Life Lately: Engagements, Moves, and a Wild Few Months

To say life has been a little crazy would be an understatement.

At the beginning of February, I got engaged (!!) at our new home while it was still under construction. It was an incredibly special moment that I’ll never forget. My fiancé completely surprised me. His parents flew in, and after the proposal, I walked into my mom’s house where my sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew were all waiting to celebrate. It was intimate, emotional, and absolutely perfect.

From there, February was a total blur (in the best way). The next weekend, I flew to Scottsdale for a friend’s bachelorette weekend. Then we came home to host back-to-back open houses as we prepped to sell our home. The weekend after that? A bridal shower and more open houses…and the house officially sold! I closed out the month with another bachelorette weekend in Miami.

March didn’t slow down either. We spent every weekend boxing up our life, saying goodbye to our first home, and getting ready to start fresh. There were late-night packing sessions, donation runs, and endless takeout meals…but we made it through.

April kicked off with my birthday, the last one in our old home, which felt like a really sweet full-circle moment. We also had a friend’s wedding, moved into our new space, celebrated Easter, and squeezed in a concert trip to Miami. It’s been a nonstop season of change, celebration, and new beginnings. And now, I’m finally ready to settle in and bring you along for it all.

What You Can Expect Around Here

With this new season, I’m shifting my focus to content that’s more personal, more helpful, and more aligned with where many of us are right now: wanting a beautiful home that actually feels like us—without feeling like you have to buy everything off a designer’s checklist.

Here’s what you can expect in the coming weeks:

  • Room-by-room updates as we set up our new space (starting with the entryway and kitchen!)

  • Organizing tips for small spaces and real budgets

  • Budget-friendly furniture and decor finds (with lots of sourcing guides)

  • DIY projects that you can actually do in a weekend

  • Personal lifestyle posts like what I’m cooking, how we’re prepping for the wedding, and maybe a few fun local finds too

Let’s Do This Together

Whether you’re moving, decorating, planning a wedding, or just trying to figure out what your style even is—you’re not alone. I’m right there with you. This blog, and all my content, is meant to feel like a casual chat with a friend who’s cheering you on, sharing ideas, and reminding you that your home doesn’t have to be perfect to be so good.

So, welcome back! I’m so glad you’re here.

Let’s make some magic—one room (and one DIY project) at a time.

Talk soon,

Taylor
